2019 Toyota Supra Returns In New Teaser; Inline-Six Confirmed
Toyota has confirmed the 2019 Supra will be powered by an inline-six front-mounted engine, but without revealing any other details.
The mill in question is believed to be a turbocharged 3.0-liter unit from BMW tuned to somewhere in the region of 335 horsepower (250 kilowatts) and a maximum torque of 500 Newton-meters (369 pound-feet).
It’ll also use that car’s 3.0-litre straight six-cylinder engine and the same eight-speed automatic transmission.
While Toyota hasn’t said anything about performance, an internet leak a few months ago suggested 0-100km/h of 3.8 seconds.
